VibeTonz® Effects Sample Pack

The VibeTonz® Effects Sample Pack included with VibeTonz® SDK is intended to inspire developers to create the most compelling VibeTonz touch sensations for ringers, games, alerts, NaviCues, messaging, emoticons, and more.

You can access these sample effects by opening the associated .IVS files found in your VibeTonz® SDK under the "effect_samples" directory (C:\Program Files\Immersion Corporation\VibeTonz\demo_effectsamples\effect_samples by default).  Use these samples as a starting point for designing your own unique VibeTonz sensations.

  • Ringers - Synchronizing VibeTonz® effects with ringtones allows you to create unique caller ID sensations.  You can also create vibe-only ringer sensations.
  • Games - Coupling VibeTonz® effects to player actions and sounds in games creates a greater interactive experience.
  • Alerts - Providing VibeTonz alert effects for events like call waiting or dropped calls helps insure an alert is noticed that might otherwise be missed if only provided through audio or visual cues.
  • NaviCues - Adding VibeTonz pops or pulses to key beeps or end of list actions provides additional confirmation of navigation actions.
  • Emoticons - Assigning VibeTonz sensations to smiley faces or frowns used in text messaging allows for an added level of interaction for the user.
  • Power On/Off - The use of a VibeTonz sensation while Starting Up the handset can alert the user that the handset is initialized and ready for use.  A corresponding sensation for Shutting Down can alert the user that the handset is about to power off.
