Version introduces several new features. The following table lists the new features in version .
| Feature | Description |
|---|---|
| Waveform Effects | now supports Waveform effects in which the actuator drive signal is defined by a WAV file. Waveform effects may be used to mimic mechanical buttons from recorded data using high-bandwidth actuators such as piezo. A Waveform effect is a kind of Basis effect that can be combined with other Basis effects in a Timeline effect to produce complex vibration patterns. has a new Waveform Editor where you can edit the parameters of a Waveform effect such as sample rate, bit depth, magnitude, and actuator on which to play the effect in a multi-actuator handset. |
| Microsecond Period | While the Periodic effect Period continues to be specified in milliseonds, you can now provide up to three decimal digits, which effectively increases the Period resolution to microseconds. The may still be unable to achieve every possible value for the Period but with this change in the can produce frequencies above 100 Hz with a 1 Hz resolution. The increased resolution will be discernible with high-bandwidth actuators such as piezo. |
