The cursor is suddenly stopped. (bug v.0.9.0) Solution: always activate the window in clicking the window before you click the minimize or maximize buttons. - Fatal Error (Novint Falcon): The dynamic link library 'FTD2XX.dll' could not be found (v.0.9.0). Solution: Please download and install D2XX Drivers ============================================== Know issues Beta 0.8 ============================================== List of known issues in version 0.8 of iFeelPixel software: - The Wiimote rumble feedback is disabled, but when metronome feature is activated, a constant buzzz effect is started on the Wiimote (bug fixed v.0.8.5) - TONAR volume strength is not correctly updated with volume slider (bug fixed v.0.8.5) - iFeelPixel is stopped but when Line or Corner buttons are pressed, tactile effect is played if it is not the default effect (bug fixed v.0.8.5) - Sometimes, "Zoom value" is not correctly updated with zoom slider value (bug fixed v.0.8.4) - "Demo mode" is not correctly stopped, the mouse continue to moves alone (bug fixed v.0.8.4) - "Volume Slider" value is not correctly updated when it is scrolled with wheel mouse (bug fixed v.0.8.4) - Fix For Non English Users issue: International compatibility with international version of MicroSoft Windows http://ifeelpixel.blogspot.com/2007/09/ifeelpixel-version-082-compatible.html - File > Startup > "Start with windows" was removed from the file menu. iFeelPixel software will automaticaly start with computer on the next release of installation setup (v.0.8.3) - Visual Feedback issue: Fixed magnitude Texture Generation does not work if "Deceleration" checkbox is NOT checked (Bug corrected in v.0.8.2) - Visual Feedback issue: invalid automatic/manual Texture Generation, problem with Texture Axis (Bug corrected in v.0.8.1) - Visual Feedback issue: missing Edge Detection (Bug corrected in v.0.8.1) - Acceleration checkbox and deceleration checkbox are incorrectly checked if Edge, Line, Corner, Color or Texture button is unpressed. The sounds are played on sound card, but they cannot be listened via speackers. ============================== Know issues Beta 0.7 ============================== - Question: How to feel DVD movies with iFeelPixel software? Answer: Either get a DVD decoder that does not use overlay technology OR allows you to not use overlay like Nvidia DVD decoder (Free 30 days trial) http://www.nvidia.com/object/dvd_decoder.html - If there is a failure with Immersion plugin for any reason (device problem, file problem, etc.) you may not be able to see the contents of the IFR file. Possible Error Messages in Media Center status bar: "Error: No TouchSense device was found" "Error: Cannot allocate the project" "Error: Cannot find or open the URL/IFR" "Error: Empty URL/IFR passed" - Question: Sometimes iFeelPixel software works fine with my USB joystick/gamepad/mouse and sometimes it doesn't work at all. What's going on? Answer: iFeelPixel software assumes there's only one TouchSense device connected to your system at a time. Thus, if you have multiple TouchSense device (e.g. game controllers) on your system, iFeelPixel software may not be able to find the right TouchSense device. The easiest way to get around this is to plug in only one TouchSense device at a time, regardless of whether the controller attaches via a game port or USB. In Windows, you can change the game controller's ID via Start->Settings->Control Panel->Game Controllers->Advanced. Typically, iFeelPixel software only look for one controller and find the first controller with ID 1. - Some Windows statusbar are not on top (Fixed) - File >> Settings >> 'Export Settings 2 (Alternative)' button added: If you receive a message error when you Export Current Settings, please click 'Export Settings 2 (Alternative)' "Cannot export \save\*.reg: Error opening the file. There may be a disk or file system error." - Options >> Texture Generation >> 'Save Preset 2' button added: If you receive a message error when you export Texture Settings, please click 'Save Preset 2' "Cannot export \texture\*.reg: Error opening the file. There may be a disk or file system error" ============================== Know issues Beta 0.6 ============================== - 'Limit Mouse' feature doesn't work well with WingMan Force Feedback Mouse: The mouse makes an enclosure (Tactile Zone) too short (hardware or calibrating problem). - 'Internet time' can't find time zone, iFeelPixel software can't be started (Fixed beta 6.5). - Window taskbar is hidden, if 'stay on top' is unchecked (Fixed beta 6.5). - Media Center: tactile effects are not stopped correctly, if IFR are changed (Fixed beta 6.3). - Status iFeelPixel: Volume value repeatedly appears (Fixed beta 6.3). - Some Settings are not restored/resetted correctly (Fixed beta 6.3). - Texture preset and Profile name: duplicate items in listbox (Fixed beta 6.3). - Restore settings: "Timer interval" and "Profile name" are not hidden correctly (Fixed beta 6.3). - Options Menu bar: "Narrator" is not checked, if Narrator is enabled (Fixed beta 6.3). - View Menu bar: Compact and Minimal are disabled at startup because "More info" is checked (Fixed beta 6.3). - Window startup position is always "center screen", old window position is not restored (Fixed beta 6.3). - Color options: if the path IFR file changes, tactile effects are incorrectly cleared (Fixed beta 6.2). - View >> More Info >> "Uncheck" doesn't work (Fixed beta 6.2). - Metronome System : Can't hear the "beat.wav" sound. "beat.wav" renamed to "beat.mp3" (Fixed beta 6.2). Tip: Use mp3 files instead of wav files. - Narrator: If the Microsoft Speech API file is not installed, there are minor bugs in resetting the Narrator options to default (Fixed beta 6.2) - Media Center: Path not found and Hard drive letter incorrect (Fixed beta 6.1) - "QUARTZ.DLL" causes crashes on older version of windows. - Message box annoyance: "Transparent windows are only supported in windows 2000 or XP" (Fixed beta 6.1 - removed) - ASL xhtml file does not open correctly (Fixed beta 6.1) - Texture generation error (Fixed beta 6.1) - Presets texture: bug, if "Sandpaper" or "Sandpaper2" is selected (Fixed) "Sandpaper" renamed to "Sand Paper" "Sandpaper2" renamed to "Sand Paper2" - Media center: bug, if "Default Reset" button is pressed. (Fixed) - Morse engine: Translate "All characters" checkbox doesn't work correctly when "Follow mouse" is enabled (Fixed) - Morse engine: "follow mouse" can slowdown the PC machine after a few time (Cpu intensive)... (Fixed) - Media center: "home theater" window is not correctly resized (Fixed) - If you lose Force Feedback sensations in iFeelPixel, please enable again Force Feedback (Fixed) File ---> Force Feedback ============================== Know issues Beta 0.5 ============================== - Media Center Status bar: filenames are incorrectly displayed, if "randomize" or "shuffle" are enabled (Fixed 12/16/03 beta 5.1) - Media Center: a bug sometimes occurs if Restore settings button is clicked (Fixed 12/16/03 beta 5.1) - "Automation Error: Library is not registered" (Package fixed 12/12/03) - "Select a part of screen" doesn't works with Morse, TONAR, Narrator and iFeelSmiley features (Fixed) - TouchSense mouse detection and loading stopped: (Fixed) If there is no TouchSense mouse detected, an alert message box appears on the splash screen - iFeelPixel closes Immersion TouchWare Desktop before proceeding (Fixed) - Unselect "Follow mouse" doesn't work in Morse, iFeelSmiley, TONAR options (Fixed) - During start-up the "Stop" button is pressed but texture effect is playing(Fixed) - Annoyance: during the loading, clipboard to speech, clipboard to Morse and some others functions based on timer interval are enabled (Fixed) - The "Stop" button is pressed but effects are playing: (Fixed) Right-click on iFeelPixel icon systray effects >> Edge OR Line OR Color - "Line" and "corner" buttons are pressed on the toolbar, but they are disabled. (Fixed) - After a few time "Demo mode" can't be disabled by a left click (Fixed) Alternative: you can use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+F12 to disable it. - Immersion plugin limitation: some tactile effects (i.e. compounds, etc...) doesn't change gain. Helpful alternative: you can also customize the sensation and strength of all effects within Immersion TouchWare Desktop through the TouchWare control panel. ============================== Know issues Beta 0.4 ============================== - If your TouchSense device have a constant vibration problem, You can try to increase or reduce the CPU priority of iFeelPixel. View >> CPU priority >> Real Time (use it with caution) OR High (Recommended) OR Normal (Default) It can also be useful to improve the computer-human interaction. In many cases no performance problems will arise, but it is recommended that you fully understand how changing an application's priority will affect its execution before performing this step. - Options are disabled (issue resolved version 0.4.3) - Some tiny bugs have been corrected. For example: if X.left & Y.top < 0 is saved in the registry, iFeelPixel start-up window is out of the screen (issue resolved). - XP theme and graphical issue with label color (issue resolved) - Detect change of screen resolution improved. (issue resolved, version 0.4.3) For example: The iFeelPixel window is resizing with a problem... Solution: click the Play/Stop button - "Outside Tactilized Zone" appears in the status bar, even if "full screen" is checked. (issue resolved, version 0.4.3) - The new immersion plugin (immweb.OCX) and IFC version should keep effects from dropping out when using your IE browser window for web content. (issue resolved) Alternative Solution: Please disable IFeelPixel if a page explicitly has force feedback support. If a webpage has texture effects on images, it may not be appropriate for IFeelPixel to generate effects on their images. (know issue) File >> Start-up >> do not start with windows ============================== Know issues Beta 0.3 ============================== - "Save settings" updated and corrected if the Regional Setting is not English. - "Stay on top" doesn't work after that iFeelPixel is minimized (Fixed) - Keystroke to Morse Error: Backwards typing bug in the Morse code part (Fixed) (Thanks Bob for reporting this bug) - Clipboard to Morse Error: "Another application is using the Clipboard and will not release it to iFeelPixel. Please try again after a short pause" (Error Trapped - Fixed) ============================== Know issues Beta 0.2 ============================== - Added a dialog box to warn users of a potential conflict with Immersion TouchWare Desktop. This dialog box will only be displayed if TouchWare Desktop is running and a mouse from certain manufacturers is plugged in. - System shutdown doesn't close iFeelPixel (Fixed) - If an another application (ex: internet explorer...) is using the Immersion Plugin, iFeelPixel tactile effects will be stopped... please close others applications and restart iFeelPixel.
